DrumSpirit from Dadizele - Belgium will not be flying back from America on Sunday april 18th. Due to the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano eruption on Wednesday, air traffic has been halted throughout most of Europe. DrumSpirit say they expect to be stranded in America for another week.
DrumSpirit has resorted to staying at a motel in Cleveland. "At the moment it looks like the next flight for the entire group has been scheduled from Newark, New York, on Monday, 26th April, getting them home to Brussels via Frankfurt on Tuesday, 27th April", the percussion ensemble from Dadizele states on their
BLOG (Dutch language). The stranded drummers have asked their colleagues who stayed behind in Belgium to notify schools and their employers of the situation.
"In the coming hours we will be looking into how best to resolve this bizarre situation and keep up the team spirit", says DrumSpirit. The group advises people to keep an eye on their blog for updates and to avoid unnecessary calls to the emergency number. Tonight at 7 pm there will be a meeting in the clubhouse for those who stayed behind to discuss the situation.

Dynasty USA strengthens its relationship with RhythmX!message posted: 18-03-2010 13:37The 2008 & 2009 WGI Independent World Champions have been a force in indoor percussion for a long time now.
RhythmX switched to
Dynasty for its ensemble in 2004. Since then the group has won two gold medals, two silver medals, and a bronze. The RhythmX ensemble will be reaching for a third gold medal in a row this April at WGI World Championships.
“RhythmX is excited to extend our relationship with Dynasty. Since we have made the switch to Dynasty in 2004 we have had the best products and service that is second to none.I have never worked with a percussion company that offers such personalized service. The Dynasty team is constantly working with us and other leading ensembles to make a superior product even better. The new drums we have this year at RhythmX have depth and articulation that no other company can match or come close to. The unique custom finish and the craftsmanship that went into these drums is unbelievable. The new Dynasty drums allow the members of RhythmX to perform at their best with a product that exceeds our expectations. Dynasty has just finished a new carrier design that is ahead of its time. The new carrier eliminates the J-bar system and replaces it with a state of the art mounting system. This mounting system makes it very easy for the members to attach and detach the drums multiple times in our 2010 production. When the design staff took a look at this new system began to think of ways to use the drums as an actual stage for the performers. What other carrier on the market would provide the strength needed to send a member running across the tops of the drums?" said Craig Dunn executive director of RhythmX.
“We are excited about our continued relationship with RhythmX. The educators and design staff at Rhythm X are the best in the business. Tim Fairbanks, Andrew Markworth, Tim Jackson, and Craig Dunn are constantly changing the game to put the ensemble on top year after year." said Mark Reynolds ,Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Dynasty.
